Personal Injury
My practice covers a broad range of civil litigation. In personal injury cases I regularly undertake advisory work and trials representing both Claimants and Defendants, in insurance, trade union funded and private cases. I also regularly accept instructions on a CFA basis.
As well as County Court and High Court work, I also act for employees claiming personal injury damages against their employers in the Employment Tribunal and have given seminars on this area.
I am a member of the Personal Injury Bar Association and also undertake work in the CICA.
Employment Law
My employment practice covers all areas of disputes that are commonly heard in the Employment Tribunal, for example unfair dismissal, discrimination claims and TUPE disputes, as well as advisory work, for both employers and employees.
I advise local authorities on employment issues and I regularly give seminars on employment law subjects as part of the employment team at Rougemont Chambers
Property and Land Law
I get instructions to advise, draft leases and represent landlords and tenants across a range of property disputes from residential lettings to leases of large commercial premises.
Other property and land work undertaken includes housing work for local authorities, housing associations and charities, boundary disputes, proprietary estoppel, TOLATA cases and restrictive covenants.
General Civil Litigation
I accept a broad range of other general civil litigation instructions, including General Chancery, Insolvency, Commercial work and Building disputes.
OUTSIDE INTERESTS
I have a Fine Art degree and take a very keen interest in art and creativity generally. I am a very keen and adventurous cyclist and enjoy the outdoors, as often as I can. I havemany other interests such as film, nature and the environment and literature.
OTHER INFORMATION
I practice from Rougemont Chambers in Exeter, Devon and from Lamb Building, London. I live in Devon, but have strong connections in Manchester and London and often get instructed to appear in Courts throughout the Country. |
