Other areas in civil litigation include contract disputes.

I regularly present seminars to housing professionals and practitioners.  Delivered paper on Gang Related Violence Injunction at the Social Housing Law Association Annual Conference (Midlands).

I have a common law background in criminal, employment and immigration law.

2002 - I piloted and set up the Bar Council education and training department's 'University Visits Scheme'.  This is aimed at those universities which do not traditionally have a link to the Bar.  The scheme is still ongoing.

1998-2002 - Member of the Young Barristers Committee of the Bar Council.  I represented the young Bar of England and Wales at conferences throughout Europe.

2001-2002 - Member of the Glidewell committee on judicial appointments.

1999-2001 - Member of Bar Council Professional Standards Committee.

1999 - Work experience with the Legal Committee of the European Parliament for one week at Strasbourg.

1993-1999 - Volunteer at Clapham and Stockwell Law Centre.

1998-2001 - Tutor of 'Introduction to Comparative Law' at the Institute for International Education of Students (IES), 5 Bloomsbury Place, London WC1A 2QA.

1999 - Delivered paper on the Incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights in the UK at the IES conference for American professors in Freiburg, Germany.
