Rougemont Chambers Mental Health Team
The mental health team led by Dr David Thomas is able to provide an effective and efficient service in relation to mental health issues. Members of the team are experienced in the conduct of Mental Health Review Tribunals and can advise both patients’ representatives and other authorities by telephone or in writing.
The team are able to represent patients within any centre in the South West and can with prior notice assist with cases further afield.
Dr David Thomas has also been involved in a number of investigations of death in care and has represented the families at Jury Inquests in which there has been an inquisition involving system failure and arguments as to the duty of the State and State-regulated bodies in relation to Article II of the European Convention on Human Rights.
